Perhaps to save time in the selection process, there could be a box in the host listing which would be indicated whether a host will accept WWOOFers traveling with dogs.

I’m sure each person thinks their dog is lovely, and would never be a problem on a farm. However, we have turkeys and chickens that sometimes fly out of their fenced areas to scratch about in the tall grasses, and sometimes these birds may be seen as objects to be played with. (I know this to be the case with our own Rhea when she was young. And, although she never killed them deliberately, we did have a chicken or two who died of sheer fright.)

WWOOFers travelling with pet dog

Hi Mike and Eileen

I have sent on your request to our web mistress Andrea.

This feature should be available on the Host Profile within a few days.

Cheers!

WWOOFer travelling with pet dog

This is a new feature now available on Host Profiles:  "Accept WWOOFer travelling with pet dog"

Thanks Andrea, that was fast!

Hosts can now log in to their accounts and update this new feature.  You would only check the box beside this new option if you are willing to accept a WWOOFer who is travelling with their dog.  Right now, the box will be un-checked so no update is required if you will NOT accept a WWOOFer with their dog.

Cheers!

Becky
