test - can a post be edited or deleted?

Yes they can. Well edited, but not deleted.

Look for the EDIT tab at the top of the post. This allows you to change the post. Including moving the post to another Forum and leaving a link behind to the original post! Cool, I didn't know that.

in certain circumstances you can edit your post.

if you are the original poster, you can edit your original post at any time regardless of how many replies it has received.
if you replied to a post and it is still the last one on the list, you can edit your post.
if you replied to a post but it is NOT the last one on the list, you cannot edit it regardless if you were the poster of the original post. (you can still edit your original post at the top of the list)

there is no way to delete your post or replies to posts. the best you can do is edit, if you can, delete all typing and replace it (and the subject line accordingly) with a comment "deleted by poster" and hope admin sees it and deletes it to get it out of people's way.
