Comments Policy

Comments are welcomed and encouraged.  Members can leave comments about their experiences on each other’s profiles.  Consider this an opportunity to tell fellow WWOOF members about your experience helping them determine if this prospect would be right for them.  Use “Search this site” found in the upper right corner of this web page to search for your Host or WWOOFer profile.  Searching by the members User ID# is easiest but you can also search by names or portion of a name.

Comments can also be left in our Forum. -> http://wwoof.ca/forum/125

If you wish to post a negative comment please do so in a respectful manner, providing constructive feedback to give the member an opportunity to learn, adapt, and improve, in order to enhance their future WWOOFing experiences.  If you wish to report a Problem or Concern please use the on-line form provided – found under “Useful Information” and titled “Problems or Concerns to tell the Administrator”.  - > http://wwoof.ca/concern  These reports remain confidential.

Comment Moderation

In order to maintain the integrity of WWOOF, comments left in the Forum are moderated by the administrator.  Comments left in the Forum and on member profiles are also moderated by other members as they can be reported to the administrator through use of the button found on each comment: “Flag as Offensive”.  Members receive notice when comments are left on their profile, and therefore can self-moderate and report to the administrator as deemed necessary.

Language and Format

WWOOF has a diverse audience with different sensibilities and opinions. That said; please avoid harsh language and the use of profanity. Flaming or use of threatening language is not allowed nor will it be tolerated.

If an entry gets you fired up, excited, or makes you think so deeply that the words pour from you like an overflowing fountain, consider posting a reply to the comment.

Use of paragraphs and whitespace makes the content easier to read on a computer screen.

Editing Comments

WWOOF Canada reserves the right to edit or delete comments as deemed necessary. Blatant spelling and grammatical errors may be edited and serious edits will be notated at the end of the comment.

If your comment conveys a coherent thought, it may just be edited; tirades will most likely be deleted. At no time will we attempt to alter the core meaning of a comment.

Final Words

You, and only you, are responsible for your words. They are yours and you get to keep them, however, by posting your comments you are granting WWOOF Canada the right, in perpetuity, to use, alter, and/or display them however we see fit.

Once your comment is submitted, that’s it — you’re immortalized.

(From time to time, this comment policy may be updated, so please make sure to check back every so often.)
